Ferndale, California

California Historical Marker #883

The Victorian Village

Est 1852

Settled in 1852, Ferndale is also know as the Victorian Village, Cream City, Cow Town and is California Historical Marker #883. Lying just along California’s northern coast just miles from the Eel River, Ferndale has been in movies such as The Majestic, Outbreak, Salems Lot, Joe Dirt and many others. It was even the location of the iconic 1977 “ I’m a Pepper “, Dr Pepper commercial. It is full of beautiful Victorian Homes, a downtown that is picturesque, a patchwork of farm land and dairies, family owned small businesses and wonderful people. I fell in love with this small town the moment set eyes on it. Not to mention, it has the most amazing cemetery I have ever seen. Now, I call Ferndale home and I love capturing every beautiful image.
